Alimentaria, in its 40th anniversary, consolidates itself as one of the leader sector meetings
Great success of national and international professional influx. Alimentaria is defined once again as the unavoidable event for the sector.

Committed to innovation
Alimentaria confirms its innovative character thanks to the continuous effort of exhibiting fabricant enterprises. One more edition, they presented their most novel products, including meatless sausage, seaweed pastries, pea snacks, energetic chewing gum and ecological vermouth.
On the other hand, the main innovation and trends index has been The Alimentaria Hub, a vast forum with more than 200 knowledge and debate activities. Thanks to Innoval, 300 launches were exhibited in this space.
Gastronomy success
The Alimentaria Experience, with its showcookings and culinary classrooms, has been the showcase to diversity, quality and prosperity of Spanish food industry.
Vinorum Think, the other principal attraction, had more than 1,000 participants in its gastronomic activities related to enology. Besides, both the Gourmet Olive Oil Tasting Bar and Spain, Land of 100 Cheeses, counted on a great success among professional public.
Socially responsible Alimentaria
Alimentaria shows its more socially responsible side through its fight against food waste and the recovery of surplus materials from its show. To achieve this compromise, together with the collaboration of Banc dels Aliments volunteers, more than 30,000 kg of food and drink surplus have been collected. Additionally, the NGO Nutrition Without Borders was in charge of the distribution to social organizations of food wastage of the Show. Furthermore, Ecovidrio recycled more than 25 tons of glass consumed during the Show opening days. We would like to reiterate our warmest thanks to all participants of Alimentaria 2016, to make all those altruist initiatives possible.
